A Little About Laurie Halse Anderson

YA Author, Laurie Halse Anderson, is a New York Times-bestselling author. She writes books for young adults and children of all ages. Her YA novels touch on many topics relevant to the lives of teenagers today.  Her first novel, Speak, was a  National Book Award finalist, as well as a New York Times Bestseller. Speak was adapted into a film in 2004, featuring Twilight star, Kristen Stewart.

Anderson was the recipient of the 2009 Margaret A. Edwards Award given by YALSA division of the American Library Association for her novels SpeakFever 1793, and Catalyst. Anderson lives in New York where she often spends time writing in her private cottage. She is married and has four children.
